Personal Data Protection Law No.6698 ("Law") was adopted on 24 March 2016 and published in the Official Gazette No. 29677 on April 7, 2016.
Personal Data Protection Law No.6698 has been adopted in order to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the privacy of private life, in the collection, processing and storage of personal data, to regulate the obligations as well as the procedures and principles to be followed by natural and legal persons who process personal data, and to determine the rights of persons whose personal data are processed.
